We would like the support of an online volunteer to help write original articles for our new project's blog which will be domiciled at www.itakeactions.org/blog when the project is launched. The new project's goal is to advance public education through active citizen participation. The articles will focus on different areas of education and its importance to national development. The volunteer will get all the neccesary information and support required. And all communication will be mainly through Email, Skype, WhatsApp, and Google drive.
As an organization, we want to see a Nigeria where young people are empowered for quality living, free of social vices with enhanced productivity and well-being. With this website, we hope to be able to improve education and reduce poverty by using citizen engagement to expose corruption in public institutions and by public office holders. This will enable us to secure the future of many children who currently have lost hope of getting quality education and other relevant services such as quality medical care, etc. For example, basic education is suppose to be free in Nigeria but fees are being collected all over the country and no one is exposing it or trying to stop it. It is our desire that with this website, citizens will find a common place to make their voices heard, and be able to put pressure on political officers and public institutions to take an action.
- Experience in researching and writing original articles - SEO knowledge will be helpful - Working knowledge in Africa, Nonprofit, Education, and Civic engagement will be an added advantage.
